ROAD TO GREATNESS: Inspiring students to embark on a journey of self discovery - Each step leading them closer to greatness. How can you leave a positive mark on the school and community, instilling a sense of responsibility and leadership. 
 
 
Calling all 5th grade families!
 
 
Participate in the monumental event to see your kiddos off from Greenwood Elementary to Middle School. This special celebration is the culmination of our children's years at Greenwood. Every year is a unique and thrilling experience for the children and we hope you will consider helping to make this a memorable one! Volunteer opportunities are available for the following committees:
 
  • TREASURER - Program Chairs

 

  • INFLATABLE RACE 2025 - Program Chairs

 

  • VIDEOGRAPHER - Video to be presented at ceremony. Help organize questions for students and volunteer in-person over a span of 2 days. Work with Videographer to manage expectations and deadlines.

 

  • PHOTOS  - Organize photos to send to videographer, including identifying students in photos. Ensure equitable representation for each student. Work with Yearbook volunteers to move pictures into shared drive. 

 

  • CEREMONY
    • Decor/Flowers - Create ceremony around Continuation theme. Work with school maintenance and principal to ensure requirements and regulations are being met. Order gifts/plants for outgoing families. Need to be present at school day prior for set up and available after for breakdown. Let your creative juices flow and help being the theme to life!
    • Posters/Program - Assist with logo development of Continuation theme and bring ideas to Program Chairs. Create individual posters for each student at the ceremony. Work with district printing for posters and ceremony programs. 
    • Tech - Be the point person to gather music, videos, relative files, etc. Work with videographer to obtain materials. Songs include: Processional song, 2 alternative songs, video of teachers, video of students, final exit song. 
    • Gifts - Create customized teacher gifts, a large class gift and a gift for the principal.   
  • PARTY - Run the post-ceremony pool party.  Includes ordering food (snack table, lunch items, beverages and possibly candy bar), secure Preserve pool (including insurance requirements), pool toys, decor, vendors (DJ, 3D photobooth, games), Create a schedule and adjust accordingly if ceremony times change. Coordinate and recruit 4th grade families to set up.
